Good News, Bad News...........

Good news........  Bunny is pregnant!! 

Bad News.........

Ultrasound yesterday only showed 3 puppies.  

Unfortunately, that means several someones will not be getting baby Bunnies puppies this time.

Her due date is January 17th.  I will post photos and updates as we get them.

We will be leaving on Tuesday for the AKC National Championship Show in Orlando.  We will be showing on Thursday, Friday and Sunday and will be at the Meet The Breeds booth from 10-4 on Saturday and Sunday.  Lots of dog stuff going on all weekend.  Over 5000 dogs are entered in the show.  Come by and say Hi.

Bunny has been bred......

Now we wait.  If she is pregnant, puppies will be due around January 17th.  I had planned to take her to Westminster this year.  However, if she has puppies, I will not complain in the least that we will not be able to go.



She now has all of her Grand Champion points.  She only need to defeat 1 other Champion at 1 more show to earn her Grand Ch title.  She also earned her Farm Dog title last weekend in NC.

Finally, Bunny is in season..........

If all goes as planned, she will be bred in the next 2 weeks.  Puppies would be due the end of January and ready for their new homes the end of March.  I am still on the fence as to who to breed her to, but most likely it will be our homebred Champion "Mick" who is the sire of the #1 Vallhund for 2018.

Bunny finished her Championship at the Lakeland shows in February a day after her 2nd birthday..  She has been a busy Nosework and Scentwork girl for the past 18 months or so and has passed her Nosework Odor Recognition Test and completed 2 of the 3 legs needed for her AKC Scentwork Novice Container title.  She is 2 pts and 1 defeated Champion away from her Grand Champion title and will be testing for her Farm Dog, Canine Good Citizen and AKC Novice Trick Dog titles this weekend in NC.  

Bunny's Hips and Elbows are OFA Certified, her eyes are CAER Certified and DNA Retinopathy Clear.  She is also Genetic Diversity DNA tested.  She is a  beautiful, sweet, energetic and loving girl with tons of personality.

Kells

Well....I wish I had better news.  However, as far as I can tell at this point, it looks like Kells is not going to have puppies.  It is possible that she is, but I really don't think so.  Primitive breeds can be very disappointing.  I will post if things change.  

Now we wait to see when Bunny comes in season.

On a happier note.  Bitsy just celebrated her 15th Birthday on July 3rd.  She's doing great and is such an awesome girl.  

Kells and Storm have been bred.  So, now we wait.  In 5-6 wks, I should be able to tell if she is pregnant.  If all goes well, we should be having puppies around July 27th.  Watch this space for updates.  If you scroll all the way to the bottom, you can click on the follow button.
